Giannis has been on an absolute tear over the last 3 games and his role players have been phenomenal just like we all expected, right? The Bucks are now up 3 games to 2 on the Phoenix Suns who have lost their 2-0 lead that seems like it was held a lifetime ago. Now, Chris Paul is on the brink of being eliminated in his first ever NBA Finals which is exactly what I expect to happen in this game. Here are my picks for tonight’s game:
The Bucks have been awesome at home. Here are there games in the playoffs at home:
vs Suns W 109-103
vs Suns W 120-100
vs Hawks W 123-112
vs Hawks W 125-91
vs Hawks L 113-116
vs Nets W 104-89
vs Nets W 107-96
vs Nets W 86-83
vs Heat W 132-98
vs Heat W 109-107
They are 9-1 at home this playoffs which is incredibly impressive. Even more impressive is the margin of victory. Not only are they dominate at home in the win column, they are outscoring their opponents by an average margin of victory of 15.3 points. Ridiculous. The trend should continue tonight.
First Quarter – Bucks -2
This is a gut feeling, but the Bucks are going to start strong and end strong in this one.
First Quarter – OVER 54.5
The scoring between these teams is often high and I expect both teams to come out firing tonight. The Suns dominated the first quarter of game 5, I expect this to be more even with the Bucks leading after the first quarter in a high scoring game.
First Half – Bucks -2.5
All Bucks, all game.
Giannis OVER 41.5 Points + Rebounds
I expect Giannis to continue his tear of dominating the boards and scoring at will. The Suns have shown no ability to slow down Giannis on the pick and roll and he has gotten to the free throw line any time he wanted. Sure, he doesn’t make them often, but he should make more at home without a crowd counting his time there. In addition to this bet, I’ve taken Giannis OVER 32.5 points and Giannis OVER 11.5 rebounds. He should dominate his way to his first title and Finals MVP.
DeAndre Ayton OVER 26.5 Points and Rebounds
The unfortunate thing about the Suns losing tonight will be Ayton losing after a brilliant playoffs. He’s been excellent on the boards this playoffs collected 10, 17, 9, 11, and 19 rebounds during this series. He’s also scoring 20, 6, 18, 10, and 22 points. He’s not been very consistent scoring wise, but foul trouble has hurt him. He was in foul trouble last game Scott Foster officiated, but his consistency should help him in this one. I’m also taking Ayton OVER 16.5 points and Ayton OVER 13.5 Rebounds. There should be LOTS of shots tonight in an elimination game and plenty of opportunity for putbacks and rebounds for the big man.
