Positives about Monday Night Raw:

The match between Asuka and Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler was solid. This match did it’s job. To pin Rhea and Asuka against each other before their match at Wrestlemania. I’m slightly upset that Rhea is heel, but knowing she is getting a live musical entrance as well, I feel this will be the end for Asuka as champion.

Bobby Lashley’s match against Cedric was pretty good. Both men worked and the fact that Bobby has two feuds happening right now is pretty cool. He worked it well. He dominated and won the match which I expected him to.

Matt Riddle’s match with Mustafa Ali was good sans the weird bird thing that happened during Matt’s entrance.

Negatives about Monday Night Raw:

The match between AJ Styles and Xavier Woods was quick and did nothing to get me excited for the match between them plus Kofi Kingston and Omos. If anything, I think AJ taking the pin here will lead him to winning Wrestlemania and this match is for mostly putting over Omos.

I’m still very uninterested in this match with Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon. The level of disinterest is high!

What was with the birds during Matt Riddle’s entrance?

I needed more from this episode and it just didn’t hit the way I needed it to for the start of Wrestlemania week!

Overall Thoughts:

Drew McIntyre’s promo was solid, but for this to be the go home show for Raw, it lacked something. I don’t know what exactly, but this didn’t get my hyped for Wrestlemania. His match later on in the night with Baron Corbin was decent. Not amazing, but not terrible. Though I felt it was unnecessary as it does nothing for the Feud between Drew and Bobby Lashley. It would make more sense to have Bobby throw all of THB against Drew, but oh yeah, we don’t have that anymore!!

Braun’s promo was okay, but the match itself lacked.

I also think for this to be a go home show in general, the spark that is usually there for me during Wrestlemania week was lacking. I was more excited last year and last year had no audience. This year I’m feeling pretty blah. Does it mean that Wrestlemania won’t deliver? I think they will since there will be a live audience. I just wish that Raw helped me get through the week.
