Positives about Monday Night Raw:

The match between Sheamus and Matt Riddle was pretty solid. Both men delivered giving a very physical match between the two. As always Sheamus delivered.

The match between Bobby Lashley and Shelton was decent. Nothing to write home about, but decent.

The segment with Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Omos and AJ Styles was okay. The joking games before the match wasn’t necessary, but it worked. Both AJ and Xavier was able to do solid in ring work before Omos interfered causing a disqualification.

The matches with Drew McIntyre, Ricochet and Mustafa Ali was pretty good. Even though Drew won both matches, it allowed both Ricochet and Mustafa to not look like jobbers. I was happy about that. The fact that Mustafa also didn’t have any Retribution gear gave me the impression that stable is indeed done, which is great in my book.

Negatives about Monday Night Raw:

I didn’t like that the Hurt Business broke up. I felt it was a good faction/stable that for the most part people enjoyed. Having them break up was stupid to me. While, I did see it coming from the last few weeks, I felt WWE took one of the nest things that were happening in WWE right now.

Shane McMahan showing Braun Strowman’s fake report card was pointless. Braun with his train effects sounding like he wants to be part of Thomas the Tank Engine was ridiculous. Making the WrestleMania match between the two of them at WrestleMania made me roll my eyes. I’m over this whole storyline.

Naomi was able to have a match with Shayna Baszler as Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose watched from commentary. This was a short match and didn’t showcase either woman. It just seemed to be thrown there just because.

Overall Thoughts

Matt Riddle leaving in the middle of the backstage segment with Asuka was off putting to me and it once again made Asuka seem like a joke. Asuka just deserves so much better.

The segment with Bad Bunny, Damian Priest, The Miz and John Morrison had me baffled. I get it was supposed to be comedic, but I didn’t find it funny. I don’t like the music videos that The Miz and John Morrison gives. It also cements why The Miz should’ve never got the championship off of Drew. I understand it was to make sure Bobby can get it from him rather than take it from Drew, but still ugh!

I’m hoping that they can make something happen for the go home show of Raw before WrestleMania, but I don’t feel confident. As of now, I’m not excited about anything happening on Raw’s end for WrestleMania.
