Positives about Monday Night Raw:

The match between Bobby Lashley and Sheamus was a solid one. Both men went at it hard and it was a nice way to open up the matches for the night. I may sound like I’m repeating myself, but Sheamus truly has been delivering in every match he has been in. I’m in awe of his work ethic.

I always look forward to seeing Asuka. I love her. The match between her and Peyton was decent. Peyton gave a better performance than her other matches, but my heart was with Asuka as I don’t believe Peyton is ready to be champ.

Rhea Ripley finally make her Monday Night Raw debut made me quite happy. I’m a huge fan of hers and she has major star potential. Though, I do have mixed thoughts about her challenging Asuka at WrestleMania.

Kofi Kingston and AJ Styles match was great. They both delivered. I was slightly surprised with how long Kofi dominated the match as AJ has been winning his matches for the most part left and right.

The handicap match with The Hurt Business vs. Drew McIntyre was also another solid match for me. Great job from all 3 of them.

Negatives about Monday Night Raw:

Now some of the things I found meh or not that great. The whole match between Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke was unnecessary. I understand the titles has to be defended, but come on!! Reginald does nothing for me being involved with the women of WWE. He is just there and unnecessary.

I have no idea what is happening with Braun Strowman. I feel like they are just giving him something to do as this whole current storyline has no substance.

I love Jeff Hardy and I appreciate him showing up, but the constant losing every week is like alright, WWE! I understand putting people over, but his match was with The Miz. Did he really need to put The Miz over? Jeff deserves better than that in my opinion.

I wasn’t impressed with The Fiend’s return to WWE, but then again I’m just wasn’t on the bandwagon with this gimmick. I understand we will get one more match between Randy Orton and him, but I’m so over this storyline. I can understand spreading things for weeks to give the story some time. However, this story is dragging way too long for me.

Overall Thoughts:

For the most part. Monday Night Raw was much better than last week. Did some segments drag a bit? Sure, but I was much more interested in what was being shown than I was for the last 2 previous weeks.

I feel that for Sheamus, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre prove to be solid workers for the most part and work with the angles they are given. However, I also feel like WWE is trying to break up The Hurt Business. At least that was the vibe I got last night. I enjoy them together so I hope I’m wrong about that.

I also can’t wait to see what Rhea Ripley brings to Monday Nights and I’m hoping they don’t mess her up and she falls from the greatness that was her run in NXT. I mentioned earlier I wasn’t sure how I felt about her calling out Asuka for the title and this is why. While, I do love her, I really wish WWE will put Asuka in a proper feud instead of these random title matches. I feel WWE need to stop the shenanigans and give my girl a proper run. Rhea legit just made her RAW debut so it seemed too soon to challenge Asuka. I wouldn’t have minded Naomi challenging Asuka because she did beat her, but nothing ever came from it. I also know WWE is trying very hard to push her with this Lana tag team situation.

Peyton Royce while people seemed really hyped about her promo on WWE Raw Talk, I found it to be pretty meh. Does Charlotte get a lot of title opportunities? Yes, but she’s a solid wrestler. Peyton has done nothing yet worthwhile as a solo competitor to win Asuka’s title. Like she isn’t even as entertaining as Billie Kay is in my opinion.

I also think WWE need to completely scrap whatever they have going on with Braun Strowman and just make him dominating and interesting again. I’m just so over whatever this is.
