NFL Week 13 Monday Night Football Fantasy Football Breakdown

NFL Week 13 Monday Night Football Fantasy Football Breakdown

As a reminder, BAL/DAL will be tomorrow for Tuesday Night Football.

Here is a fantasy football overview for both Monday Night Football games this week:

Washington Football Team @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Injury concerns: James Connor OUT, Big Ben QUES, Terry McLaurin QUES

McLaurin is expected to play, but this matchup is going to be a tough one for both teams. Fantasy RB powerhouse Antonio Gibson and receiving back JD McKissic face the second best defense in the league at limiting RBs in fantasy. It doesn’t get much better for McLaurin who still faces a top-15 defense against receivers, but he should still be productive and involved enough to warrant a spot in your lineups. Logan Thomas is an intriguing TE option so if you are going to be missing Mark Andrews, you could do worse than slotting in Thomas.

The Steelers are undefeated still and even though they are going to be facing a tough defense from the WFT, you are still going to roll out your Steelers. James Conner is out and I’m not super high on Benny Snell, but he should get the bulk of the carries if you want the hail mary play. Diontae, JuJu, and Chase Claypool are all worthy of a start even facing the third best defense in fantasy against WRs. Eric Ebron draws the best matchup for the offense facing the 18th ranked defense against TEs.

Quick Hits

  • Start Big Ben
  • Start Gibson, Flex McKissic
  • DEEP Flex Snell
  • Start McLaurin, Deep Flex Sims
  • Start Johnson, Smith-Schuster, and Claypool
  • Start Thomas in deeper leagues
  • Start Ebron

Buffalo Bills @ San Francisco 49ers

Injury concerns: None

Despite the injuries to their team, the 49ers have a strong defense when it comes to fantasy football. Josh Allen faces the 10th best, Zack Moss and Singletary the eight best, and Stefon Diggs the eighth best defenses against their respective positions. I think you still throw Allen out there based on his rushing potential, but I’m wary about this backfield. Zack Moss appears to be the more talented back, but the Bills won’t let Devin Singletary get out of his way so both are capped at flex appeal at most. Stefon Diggs will be involved and I like Cole Beasley as a flex play.

For the first time in forever the 49ers don’t have anybody on the injury report that isn’t already on IR. It will be interesting to see this backfield at full capacity with Mostert, McKinnon, and Coleman and how their carries and snaps are divided as they face the 20th ranked defense in fantasy against RBs.  Samuel and Aiyuk are going to be facing the 10th best defense against WRs, but game script may lead to some garbage time stats for them. Jordan Reed has a great matchup, but isn’t involved enough in this offense to be trusted.

Quick Hits

  • Start Allen
  • Flex Moss, Singletary
  • Start Mostert, Flex McKinnon, I’d Sit Coleman
  • Start Diggs, Flex Beasley
  • Flex Deebo, Aiyuk
  • Sit TEs here
